Special Interest Groups are a wonderful way to find people who want to have fun doing what YOU like to do. Groups reflect the interest of the club members and can change from year to year. Ever wanted to know how GOOD photographs were taken?  Well come join our quarterly lessons at various locations to take photos and learn basic camera skills and composition of  everyday items.  Learn the  difference between a photograph and a snapshot.  We are lucky to have a a professional photographer and instructor lead the group.

Club meets monthly in members' homes. Books are selected at the summer planning meeting so you know well ahead what’s coming so you can purchase it or reserve each selection at your library. Hunks or babes, tears or laughs, foreign or domestic, Chick Flicks sees those movies you’d like to see, but not alone. Join this group for lunch or just meet them.at the theater for a comfortable viewing experience with snacks up to you. Movie schedules are dependent on what’s in town, so you are emailed the monthly selection. This group usually meets on Mondays, dines at local restaurants and of course, favors movies for women.

It’s cracks, bams and dots galore for those who play according to the National Mah Jongg League rules. This year’s tournament will be held in December (see Events and Activities page for details), but if there’s interest, we have a Mahj Maven willing to teach you how to play so you can join this craze and have a regular game.

If you didn’t sleep through counting exercises in grade school you will learn this game in seconds. The object of this “brainless bridge” game is to throw dice while crossing your fingers, eyes, etc. in the hopes that the number you are looking for turns up and gives you much needed points; all of which will be explained to you when we play. Keep in mind that the more players the merrier and the more fun we will have. See a funnier side of your friends you have never seen before. Of course there will be snacks and beverages.
